I have been working behind the scenes in the past few months on a workshop geared towards families with children who are picky eaters or have learning problems, behavioral problems, skin problems, constipation, etc. This workshop is also for those families who simply want to make some changes, eat better, and feel better.

The workshop is a labour of love from me and my friend Karen Sribney. Karen was my colleague at the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition (CSNN) – Calgary branch – where we both studied to get our diplomas of RHN Holistic Nutritionist. Karen is also a registered psychologist and she has two teenage daughters.

Since the beginning of my courses at CSNN I was attracted to Karen’s personality, knowledge, wit, and openness. One day, I approached her and told her: “I really like you”. She responded with: “I really like you too”. And that was the beginning of our friendship. We went for coffee to get to know each other better and have since become friends.

Last year, Karen approached me to ask if I would be interested in organizing a nutritional workshop and without any hesitation I agreed.

So here we are, almost seven months later, ready to launch our workshop and help you become healthier.

The workshop includes 8 sessions. The sessions take place in Calgary and begin on the 18th of February and are held every 2 weeks. The last session is on the 3rd of June.

For now, the workshop takes place in the morning between 9:30 am and 11:30 am. However, if there is enough interest, there is the possibility of opening up another workshop in the evening, from 7:00 to 9:00 pm.

During the sessions we will talk about brain health, food allergies and sensitivities, leaky gut syndrome, picky eaters, constipation, learning problems, behavioral problems, and many others, all in the light of healthy nutrition.

There is a limited number of seats as Karen and I feel the participants will get much more out of a smaller group workshop.

Each session will include handouts, lunch box ideas, healthy meal ideas, and recipes.

Our workshop is developed to give each participant a lot of useful information and to help make simple changes in their families right away. We also want to ensure that the changes you make will be met with minimal push back from your family members. And we will also help you do that with homework that you receive at the end of each session.
