Tasty Tuesday – How to Make Delicious French Toast

Delicious French Toast
  • 4 slices whole grain bread (I use gluten-free bread)
  • 2 eggs
  • ⅔ cups milk of your choice (I use coconut milk or rice coconut milk)
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1½ tablespoon coconut oil
  • Toppings – nut butter, fresh berries, hemp seeds, coconut flakes, maple syrup
  1. Heat a frying pan on medium heat until hot and add the coconut oil to the pan.
  2. Whisk the egg in a wide bowl.
  3. Whisk the milk and vanilla together in another wide bowl.
  4. Dip one bread slice in the egg until fully coated. Then dip the slice in the milk mixture. Place the slice in a hot frying pan.
  5. Repeat with the other 3 slices.
  6. Cook each slice for about three minutes, until one side is golden brown and then turn and cook the other side until golden brown.
  7. Remove the bread slices from the frying pan and place on a plate.
  8. Add your favorite toppings.
